A time way from the blog ....now some new thoughts.
Reading in Marketing Week this morning that Chambourd is to launch a new design for its bottle. Whilst the company identifies that consumers do not recognise the drink's name, I do feel that the bottle with its little decorative gold harness and kitsch-like box with regal overtones is a classic.
The new design is indeed more restrained and classy. I like it - but much prefer the glamorous, glitz of the old design. The drink is delicious and the overall package alwyas seems quite a present - the bottle with the lovely crown top too good to dispose of..hence my collection of the bottle tops.
Must get to Waitrose to buy up the old designs before they disappear...like the old Drambuie bottle that got a redesign recently too.
