As a researcher and collector of all things flocked it was great to come across a range of Timpo flocked zoo animals yesterday. Dated to c.1956 these little fuzzy covered lead animals have seen better days as their fur coats are rubbed and the odd leg is bent. However, they stand as great examples of toys that were cleverly designed to appeal. The camel looks great in its fawn flock covering. Manufactured by Timpo these examples predate their plastic counterparts.
